Like all people, police officers are susceptible to struggle with mental health. In a study conducted by The Ruderman Family Foundation, the foundation revealed police officers are more likely to die by suicide than in the line of duty. According to Blue H.E.L.P., 56 active duty police officers have committed suicide just this year. These suicides are commonly a direct result of mental illnesses like depression and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Join us on Facebook Live as we conduct a candid conversation about mental health in the police force.
